level two: beginner

the kuma way beginner course is designed to teach your dog the basics of obedience. the goal for this course is for your dog to be able to perform all of the skills listed below with consistency and ease. your dog must be able to perform all of the core skills for the final exam in order to pass and be ready for the next level of obedience. supplementary skills are recommended for well-rounded training, but are not required to pass the course. right now i'm offering an introductory price of $200 for the full course, which includes 10 private, one-hour training sessions, once per week for 10 weeks. 

core skills

• 45 sec sit stay from 6ft

• 30 sec down stay from 6ft 

• any duration stand stay from 6ft

• sit for exam from 6ft

• recall from 6ft 

• heel on leash with full control from owner

supplementary skills

• look - get your dog to look at you (10 seconds with treat) 

• off - get off of furniture or people 

• up - jump onto a platform, such as into a car

• wait - a shorter stay command

• leave it - ignore or disengage from distractions

• stand - dog stands on command with no assistance or lure
